Terms of service

Last updated 23 May 2026

These terms govern your use of the Lemma service: the marketing site at lemmamaths.co.uk, the app at app.lemmamaths.co.uk, and the course content delivered through it. By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

Lemma is operated from the United Kingdom. Formal company registration details will be published here before the service launches commercially. Contact email for service matters: hello@lemmamaths.co.uk.

2. What we provide

The Lemma course is a structured TMUA preparation system: written lessons, animated video lessons, a bank of TMUA-style practice problems with worked solutions, realistic timed mock papers, and a performance dashboard. The course is delivered online through the app at app.lemmamaths.co.uk.

3. Account

You must be at least sixteen years old to hold an account in your own name. Candidates under sixteen may use the service if a parent or guardian holds the account and accepts these terms on the candidate's behalf.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.

4. Price and access

The Lemma TMUA course is sold as a single one-off payment of £199, which grants twelve months of full access from the date of purchase. There is no automatic renewal. To regain access after twelve months you would purchase the course again at the then-current price.

5. Refund

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and our own promise, you may request a full refund within fourteen days of purchase for any reason. Email hello@lemmamaths.co.uk with the email address on the account; refunds are processed to the original payment method within five working days.

After the fourteen-day window, refunds are not offered for change of mind. Refunds may be granted at our discretion for material defects in the service.

6. Acceptable use

Your access is for personal study only. You may not share your login with anyone else, sell access to the content, redistribute or republish course material, automate the scraping or downloading of the bank, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. Breach of this clause may result in termination of access without refund.

7. Intellectual property

Lemma owns or licenses all course content: written lessons, videos, practice problems we have authored, worked solutions, the dashboard interface, and the design of both sites. Past examination questions reproduced on the marketing site are quoted under fair-dealing for criticism, review, and quotation (UK CDPA s.30) with attribution to the awarding body; Lemma does not claim ownership of those questions.

When you pay for the course, you receive a single-user, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access the content for the twelve-month access period. You may print or save material for your own study; you may not redistribute it.

8. Service availability

We aim for the app to be available continuously but do not guarantee uptime. We may take the service down for maintenance, upgrades, or in response to security incidents. Where downtime is planned and significant, we will notify account holders by email in advance.

9. Liability

We do not guarantee any particular outcome on the TMUA. Test performance depends on many factors beyond our content, including the time you spend, your existing mathematical background, and conditions on the day. Lemma's liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the course in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@lemmamaths.co.uk. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our service changes. Material changes will be notified by email at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under them, except that consumers based in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or elsewhere in the UK may bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
